It is that time of the year where it just seems right to curl up and knit the night away. Exciting life, right? Lately, I’ve been taking up so many different routines and knitting and crocheting until my eyes can’t stay open any longer is just one of those things. My room mate, Erin, and I make at least two to three runs to the craft store a week to buy extra skeins of yarn with our 40% off coupons. It has been so fun seeing what projects she is working on, and just sitting around at home chatting or watching project runway while we knit away (with hot tea, of course). I promise…this isn’t all we do.

I also have some new things in the works with knitting/crocheting coming to Always Rooney! I’ve been loving the mix of knit and leather so I’m working on some exciting projects with those materials and I am tossing around the idea of adding hats to my Etsy shop. Oh the possibilities!

Are you into knitting or crocheting? Do you have any hobbies that seem to come out during the fall or winter season more than others?

I've picked up knitting in the last year or so and can't get enough of it! It's the perfect multitaskers hobby. I could never get into crocheting, but knitting is wonderful!

After I tried learning how to knit I gained some serious respect for those of you who could do it. I definitely could not! haha Can't wait to see what new lovely items you have in your shop!

Wait I'm literally wearing a black dress with a flannel around my waist today! Such a perfect combination and it looks wonderful on you! You seriously make me wish I knew how to knit, and your talk of combining that with leather! Agh! Perfection.

Courtney you are such a babe! Love the look & the photos are totally perfect! Every winter I always want to learn to knit and it just hasn't happened. Maybe this year?

Yes! I've known how to crochet since I was a teenager, but only this year did I pick up knitting and actually stick with it. I just finished my first hat for my boyfriend and I'm HOOKED. I also just got a bunch of knitting needles from a friend who got them at Goodwill, so I can spend my money on yarn instead of a bunch of needles!

    Love that hat!

Great pictures and I love your hat. When cool weather comes around I always get the knitting/crochet itch, it just fits this time of year! I'm looking forward to any patterns you share here!

I knit and crochet. I just learned knitting in the last couple years and I have become completely obsessed with it. I also have the knitting itch lol. I am currently knitting up some coffee cup cozy's that will soon be put into my etsy shop. I knit a hat a couple weeks ago and I just went to an awesome yarn store in my town yesterday and bought some very cozy wool yarn that just so happened to be on clearance, I plan on knitting another hat..(you can never have too many) I am also working on a knit throw for my bed. I have a bad habit of starting knit projects and never finishing them, so I told myself this year I will finish everything I start lol. I also wanted to add that I love your knit hat 🙂
